Overview
Inspired by Couchini, one of Iran’s first iconic café galleries, this collection honors a space that once pulsed with the energy of modernism, freedom, and art.
Before the revolution, Couchini was the cultural heartbeat for a generation hungry for change — a vibrant hub where bold ideas met creative expression. Its zebra-themed interior and art influenced by icons like Andy Warhol symbolized a new wave in entertainment and artistic rebellion.
This legendary spot was the starting point for artists who shaped Iran’s music scene, including Ebi, Farhad, Black Cats, Shahram Shabpareh, and Shahbal Shabpareh.

When I visited Iran two years ago, I found Couchini transformed into a simple restaurant. Yet, its essence lingered, etched into the preserved design, like a memory frozen in time.
Today my painting from this collection hangs proudly in my entertainment room — a personal tribute to Couchini’s enduring legacy. The entire space is designed around it, a living homage to a place that once ignited the spirit of creativity and modernism.
